My story

Károlyi István

As a photographer, for over ten years I've felt that every moment matters. Every day my camera isn't in my hand, I feel like something is missing — maybe the very moment I could have caught.

When I photograph, I don't just see — I feel: colors, mood, joy, melancholy — things that are hard to put into words.

My approach

I love looking back at the photos — the faces, the gestures — and wondering what stories were woven in that single click.

My philosophy

I love it when someone says: "You can't take a good photo of me anyway." Of course you can! Everyone has a best side that can be brought out.

When you come to me, I'm 100% focused on you. From your stories I figure out who you are, what you want and why you came — and I give it all back in images.
