A family photo session isn't about perfect poses — it's about real moments: the children's laughter, a hug, the bond between you. With a little preparation, you can help those moments happen naturally.
Dress in harmony, not in uniform
It works best when the family wears a few shared colours without being dressed identically. Soft, natural tones — beige, off-white, warm earthy shades — age better than loud patterns and keep the focus on your faces.
Pick a time that suits the children
With little ones, the window after a meal and some rest is ideal — that's when they're most settled. A small snack and a favourite toy also work wonders for the mood.
But the most important tip is this: relax and trust the process. My job is to stay in the background and catch the moments when you're simply being yourselves.
